April 2014, I gave my 10th board exams and started packing my bag to board the flight which read
"Arrival - Boston, The United States of America".
The idea of travelling alone never brought me any fear or anxiety which many people do face. I have always loved travelling and it does not make a difference to me whether travelling alone or with a group.
I was just 16 years old. Never travelled abroad prior to this, not even with my family and now it was all me to take grandma safe and sound with me. My Mom, Dad and my Elder Sister all filled with excitement and happiness as I was about to step outside into the new World.
My first-ever visit to a Foreign land in such a young age has been quite a blessing and I am really thankful to my parents.
Stepped out at the Boston Airport and there came my Aunt to pick us up and reached her place. It, for few days, felt as if I was on some other planet.
Yes. It all seemed just like the way I saw things on a television.
Clear blue skies, beautiful avenue, the sound of nature and almost each thing got my attention.
We visited the famous monuments during our visit to Washington DC, the Capital.
The White House, the Washington Monument, Smithsonian Air and space Museum, the Lincoln Memorial and other major attractions were covered by us in a day or two.
All of them were magnificent !
Times Square - the bustling street of New York.
A city that never sleeps.
Witnessed A Bird's eye view from 20th Floor(half the building) of the hotel where we stayed for 3 days. Tiny human beings walking down the streets, digital screens all over the buildings and many artists showcasing their innate talents.
You'll never find this street empty, it is all the time in the entertainment mode. One gets to spot a few statue-like creatures who are not exactly statues but real human beings - Flabbergasting !!
Americans love having people visiting their country and I guess, that's why the tourism industry is booming. People, there, reflect various religions and castes. One enjoys observing them in their daily walks of life. You get a glimpse of how things are and the way people live.
Wherever you visit, you are always welcomed with a warm smile from the person whether you know them or not.
The thing which separates our country and other countries is that, we don't see a busy road, we never see any person on the street the way we see it in our country. All of them are busy most of the time and you never see them having a quality time at home. Even if at home, none of them is bothered about spending time with their loved ones and all work independently in their rooms.
In short, the liveliness of that country as compared to our country is not much.
In the previous blog, I shared the memories of my tours within the country and here I shared about my travel to USA, no doubt each place on this earth is as beautiful as it is. But if deeply observed, I've seen a true culture in our country and religiously being followed by every citizen. The respect for culture is at the top here. That's the only thing to which I give priority, the most.
Travelling gives me utmost happiness!!
