The US State Department has an advisory issued for all countries in Asia. The agency has put these countries in four different categories to warn tourists against any precautions that need to be taken.
Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions
Tourists are advised to exercise increased caution in Azerbaijan because of terrorism. According to the advisory, terrorist attacks target various public spaces, including, but not limited to, clubs, markets, malls, transportation hubs, hotels, restaurants, and airports. Travelling to the Nagorno-Karabakh region is not recommended due to armed conflict.
Due to terrorism and crime, tourists are warned to be cautious and reconsider travelling to Dhaka. As per the agency warning, crime rate increases at night and commonly include robbery, fraud, theft, carjacking, assault, rape, and burglary.

Just like Bhutan, the US State Department has no warnings for Brunei.
As Phnom Penh witnesses cases of phone and bag snatchings and violent crimes like sexual assault and homicide, travellers are recommended to exercise increased caution here. Remote areas like Battambang, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, Pursat, Pailin, and Kampong Thom provinces have land mines so it is advised to not touch unknown metal objects and use a local guide when walking in forests or dry rice paddies.
Do not enter the United Nations buffer zone anywhere except where there are designated crossings.
Though East-Timor as a low risk destination, an alert was issued in May 2019 a person lost life in a crocodile attack. Traveller must exercise caution when swimming, snorkelling, and fishing.
While the country is designated lower risk, some areas in Georgia have increased risk like South Ossetia and Abkhazia which sit at Level 4 and are unsafe for travel. These areas are occupied by Russian troops and border guards and it is warned that the precise borders are hard to identify.

'Off the beaten path' in Kuwait's desert region and certain beaches north of the Mutla'a ridge are prone to danger from unexploded weapons left over from the Gulf War and hence travellers are advised to not go there. Al Jahra has been identified as a high crime city, and Jeleeb Al-Shuyoukh near the Kuwait International Airport has been identified as a high crime neighbourhood.

Though Laos is at lower risk, some areas are at high risk including Xiasomboun Province, which witnesses violence and civil unrest. The borders along Burma see drug traffickers, bandits, groups opposed to the government, and other criminals. The provinces of Savannakhet, Xieng Khouang, Saravane, Champassak, Luang Prabang, Houaphan, Attapeu, Khammouane, Sekong, Vientiane, and along Route 7 are prone to unexploded bombs from the Indochina War.
Mostly Malaysia is low risk but the eastern area of Sabah State are an exception with threats of kidnapping for ransom. People at coastal resorts, island resorts, and boats ferrying between islands are targeted by criminal and terrorist groups.

Iran poses risk of armed conflict, terrorism, crime, or being kidnapped, arrested, and detained. Students, journalists, business travellers, and academics have all been arrested by Iran authorities on charges including espionage and national security threats.
Iraq witnesses terrorism, kidnapping, and armed conflicts which puts it on high risk. There are numerous terrorist and active insurgent groups that attack civilians.
The US State Department warns that Americans need special validation to travel to North Korea and warns that there is a high risk of arrest and long-term detention.
