Do not gamble on your room reservation when planning your next trip to Idaho. If you happen to be a casino enthusiast, you can always book a casino hotel room that will serve as a great memory-making getaway.

Casino hotel rooms offer everything you might need from cozy suites for a peaceful night, live entertainment, on-site restaurants, and impeccable services. Imagine rolling out of bed only to head straight to a blackjack table in no time! Isn't that a great way to make the most of your casino vacation in Idaho?

You Are Always Winning at Idaho Casino Resorts

When staying at a casino resort, your adventure and fun begin even before you get to hit the slots. Upon checking into your room, you will have access to king-like services and amenities. Complimentary bath accessories, luxurious sheets, plush towels, you name it all.

My advice is that you book a room with a great view that probably reveals a sight of Idaho Springs. At times, you won't even want to show your hands at casino tables or slot machines. The luxury, ambiance, peace, serenity, and comfort are often more than enough.

My Experience with Idaho Casinos

The northwestern state is popular for its mountainous landscapes, numerous outdoor recreational areas, and swaths of protected wilderness.

Boise, the state capital, stands on the Rocky Mountain, and the Boise River runs right across the city. The river is popular for fishing and rafting. Locals love to spend time at the riverfront Julia Davis Park, which is a green space with a beautiful rose garden, a zoo, and museums.

Idaho is also home to many reputable casinos. For more information of casinos in the state, checkout this map of Idaho casinos created by Casinos.us.

During my trip, I decided to spend my nights at the Coeur D'Alene Casino Resort and tour other casinos by day. Let's get straight to the Idaho casino experience.

Coeur D’Alene Casino Resort

This luxurious casino is located in Worley, the lake city of Idaho. I chose this resort specifically due to its guest and casino service offerings. The casino covers 60,000 square feet of space filled with a diversified collection of slots and table games. There are many other fun activities that guests enjoy at this casino resort.

From the exclusive Raven Golf Club, which is open to all guests, to the Spa Sakwa'q'n, Coeur D'Alene Casino Resort is a dream destination for many. The spa offers a myriad of rejuvenating treatments such as facials, massages, body wraps, and scrubs.

Guests at this Idaho casino resort enjoy modern luxury rooms with amenities such as bathrobes, a 43" TV, a coffee maker, jetted bathtubs, and a separate living space with sofas. I found the lounge quite thrilling at night due to the cocktails, live entertainment, and more gaming.

Mealtimes at Coeur D'Alene Casino Resort are yet another exquisite experience. Guests get to choose between their pasta restaurant, buffet, steakhouse, and deli. Alternatively, you can try out the casual grill in the Course's clubhouse.

Clearwater River Casino & Lodge

Located next to the Clearwater River, off Interstate 95. It's typically a lodge-style casino resort resting about 10 kilometers east of the city of Lewiston. The casino is run and operated by the Nez Perce Tribe or Nimiipuu.

Clearwater River casino invested circa $20 million in expansion and renovations back in 2013. The project revamped 37,516 square feet of the then casino floor and added 11,312 square feet more, bringing the total casino floor space to 48,828 square feet.

In addition, the casino has a 5,000 square feet convenience store and a 23,770 square feet event center.

The casino operates around the clock, offering over 6,000 game titles with coinage ranging between $0.01 and $5.00. Some of the most prevalent games at the casino include progressive video slots, keno, and video blackjack. Bingo hall at Clearwater opens on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Clearwater River Casino & Lodge boats of three restaurants with upscale and casual dining offerings. The on-premises lodge features an indoor saltwater pool, 50 rooms, and a spa.

Kootenai River Casino

The casino is located south of the Canadian border, in the town of Bonners Ferry. It's owned, run, and operated by the Kootenai Tribe. From my digging, I discovered that the site underwent key renovations and expansion in 2005, remodeling the interiors and adding the exclusive spa. Later, in 2013, the management funded further expansion to add the 36-room Kootenai Lodge.

Kootenai River Casino is 30,000 square feet with over 500 slot machines and numerous table games. The casino operates 24/7, and you can place minimum wagers of between $0,01 and $1.00. Kootenai River Casino is also known for its 150-seat bingo hall.

What's more, the casino has an on-site spa. Guests are allowed to book appointments at the luxurious Kootenai Spa for massage, bodywork, hydrotherapy, manicures, aromatherapy, facials, hair & salon, pedicures, and more.

The Commonalities Across Idaho Indian Casinos

Idaho has over 13 casinos and pari-mutuel establishments. Unfortunately, I was not able to visit all. However, I noticed some major commonalities from the few that I visited. These features are prevalent across most casinos in Idaho, and they include:

Strategic Locations

Unlike most casinos in the country, located in busy cities, Idaho casinos are located in quiet locations close to nature and away from the city buzz. The strategic positioning of Idaho casinos creates a serene environment for uninterrupted relaxation.

Casinos Lodges

All Idaho casinos that I set foot in had a lodge open to all guests, including non-casino fans. This makes it ideal for visiting-gamblers who would love to spend a few nights at the establishments. With on-premises restaurants, spas, and convenience stores, you won't have to leave the casino premises during your stay.

Diversified Casino Game Collections

Idaho casinos are probably the largest in the Northwest of the US. Players are torn for choices with the casino floors filled with hundreds of slot machines and table games. The casino game diversity offered at these casinos is unparalleled. Most casinos offer affordable minimum bet amounts, as low as $0.01.
