The last part of our Belgium trip, or originally the main attraction was to visit Keukenhof - the Garden of Europe in Holland. Remember the flower field of bollywood movie Silsila - Dekha ek khwab? I was totally thrilled when I decided to visit this place and it's totally worth every single penny, dollar, euro, inr spend to visit this place. The garden opens only for 2 months during the spring, when spring flowers start to blossom. It's highly romantic for couples, highly magnetic for nature lovers like me, highly colourful for people who fail to see colours of life!
After reaching Amsterdam, the first thing we did was to take 2 hours of boat-ride through the canals of Amsterdam. It gives great opportunity to look through this historic city, the gates, different churches, bibliotheks and series of abandoned bicycles roped together. On the first day after the boat ride, I went on solo to van Gogh museum and was spellbound with the artistic creations of this genius. Most of his best art were at MET, New York which I viewed later when I lived at Manhattan. After that, we went to view the Madamme Tussauds and met Anne Frank there. At the end of the day, we dispersed for our hotels (I stayed on a hotel on a different direction). The trams are well connected. On the next day, we took a conducted tour to Keukenhof, a bus took us to the Garden.
The beauty of Keukenhof cannot be written, it has to be felt and seen. After viewing through the majestic views of tulips, grasses and swans, we went for the Windmill. From the top, one can see the flower beds and flower fields of Holland. On a clear day one can make canal-ride through the flower beds but we got a partially rainy day, so it was closed. The next day, we took a train to the capital "den Haag" to reach the North Sea. After spending some beautiful funtime at the shores, we headed back to Amsterdam, checked out at night from our hotels, bed good bye to Holland to return back to our Universitytown. It's definitely an eyecandy on a well-lit day, however this time in Europe is hard to find a sunny day, so if you find one, be thankful to destiny for such a day. Gute Reisen :)
