I was supposed to go on Skydiving when I traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada back in 2016. But, I had to drop the plan due to weather conditions and I was extremely disheartened that I did not get to accomplish it. I am glad I got to achieve it now. I mean, "Better late than never" don't you agree??
The D Day is finally here!! Reached location precisely on time, signed off the waiver, geared up with the safety equipment and tada, smiling and posing for the picture before I get on my flight.
It took approximately 5 minutes of flight travel to reach the altitude of 14,500 ft. My excitement to jump off the plane was multiplied by infinite times as I walked towards the door and you can witness my exact feeling in the picture below.
Unlike others, I was not scared nor did I have traumatic feeling so I did take my time to enjoy the view from up above before i jumped off the plane into to the air witnessing the moment I was most anticipating for.
Wind had control over us as my instructor and i jumped off the plane and we were all over the place, I mean we went upside down, right-side up which was no less than a roller coaster ride.
Due to the speed and sudden atmospheric changes during the free-fall, It took us few seconds to gain control over our body and this phase of free-fall as well as the rapid twists and turns my body went through before the parachute raise up was just amazing.
As we gain control and attain steady speed, parachute is pulled to deploy. I was floating and flying just like a bird and in my mind I was able to relate this moment to my Travel Blog called "Girl With Wings" and that brought a huge smile on my face. Isn't it incredible??
My feeling right now: Yes!! Mine!! All mine!! I own this land and i do not want to share it with any of you.
My instructor saw me enjoying the moment so he asked me if I want to see more? I was like bring it on, And that was when we took few 360 degree turns/rotation in the air and OMG!! It was just amazing.
The excitement, twists, turns, free-fall everything started to fade as we slowly moved towards the earth but it will be in my memories for life and I have captured it in my heart extremely well.
I am happy and proud about myself that i took a chance to treat my adventurous soul with something so fulfilling and I walk out with my head high and also sense of achievement from this incredible experience.
