A complete Travel Itinerary to visit Edinburgh and Scottish Highlands.
Scotland, the north country side of UK, is one of my favorite locations and I have been there 8-9 times already. The weather is always cold but it has its beauty in all seasons, however i absolutely love it in Autumn with all trees covered in different colors of red, brown, yellow, green. Scotland is full of lakes which are called Lochs in local language while there are stunning lakes all the way on drive to A82 Highway which is also in AONB UK (area of outstanding natural beauty) Lochness is the most famous and is the largest.Scotland offers a rich heritage and culture which is visible in Edinburgh which looks like a Wizard city amazing architecture, bagpipers, Scottish Kilts and soldiers on the Royal mile. A breath taking view of Edinburgh can be taken from Arthur's seat which is an easy hike. I recommend taking a hop on/off bus tour around the city and getting down at the locations you are interested in or just sitting in bus and viewing. This is one place i can never get bored of. Scottish highlands again are a pleasure to visit in itself. The drive from Edinburgh to Fort Williams where Ben Nevis is situated is mind blowing, you can't keep your eyes off the surroundings. A road through Glencoe is a marvellous view between scottish mountains.Since i strongly recommend a road trip there out of my many adventure road trips to Scotland. I like recommend these two routes.
