Florence, Italy

Unfortunately, we won't have a new travel adventure to share for some time. Instead we would provide insights into just a few of our travel destinations we have been and would go back too. We often get asked which are our favorite place to visit is, we don't have just one place we have several. It all depends on what you want to do.

When we were planning 2020, never would we have guessed it would turn out so differently. Each trip was strategically picked based on availability, time of year and number of days we would need. As of right now we have had to cancel our 14-day Asia adventure. Pull Bavaria ahead a year and reschedule a week in Morocco to later this year. Crossing our fingers that we can still go. Bottom line our vacation plans are a hot mess and we have had to adjust given the current environment.

Hot Air Ballooning In Napa

Napa, CA we visit there it seems every three years, it is a direct flight and short drive to experience something we greatly enjoy, wine. Looking back this year was our 5 th trip, had a new favorite small winery added to our preferred choice- O'Brien. There are large scale producers to small boutique growers, each are unique. It is a great place to learn and evolve your wine tasting and understanding what you like and don't, it is all about your personal preference. Besides wine tasting, you can go on a hot air balloon ride, mountain bike in the hills, or enjoy shopping for the local wares.

Outdoor Adventures

Welcome to Sedona

Sedona, AZ this is also about every three years destination for us but very different from Napa, this is all about being outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, off roading, day trips to the surrounding sites - Grand Canyon or Antelope Canyon are just a couple. Enjoying picturesque backdrops while dining under the stars. We call this our wellness vacation. Because there are so much to do, we will continue to return. They cater to that outdoor enthusiast. Another direct flight, with a few hours' drive to the city.

Just to relax

Bellagio, Las Vegas

Vegas, NV we aren't gamblers we go to sit by the pool, eat at their very good restaurants, attend some first class shows and people watch. No other place in the world that we have been has the variety of people in one place. We visit Vegas after a lot of hard-core vacations, places that take a toll and we need a place to just be able to sit and relax typically every five years.

Now for longer travel destinationsJust because destinations

Typically, this would be 5-7 nights mostly because of the distance

These are on the must return list because we had so much fun and can't recommend them enough to other travelers.

Wine & Animals oh my...

Cape of Good Hope, South Africa

Cape Town, South Africa, really Camps Bay, it is a place like no other place, wild animals roaming freely (penguins, baboons, ostrich & and zebras are just a few), unique world class wine - try their Pinotage, and varied landscape consisting of mountainous terrain breaking into the pretty blue ocean waters. Even though this is a very long flight you will be rewarded upon your arrival. Everything we did while in the Cape was very economical in comparison to our previous vacations while still making it one of the most memorable. We would recommend a private guide, let them drive you around, book everything for you and all you have to do is sit back and enjoy.

Lochs & Fairy Pool

Hills are green as can be in Scotland

Scotland Highlands, an easy drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh, remember you are driving on the opposite side of the road if you are from the US. Driving ourselves, allowed us to stop where wanted and see everything that was important along the way (Lochs, fairy pools, Distilleries). One of best stops was a little town called Glencoe. The backdrop was mountains covered with the bright green forest, deep blue Lochs intermingled throughout and one of the best lodges we have stay at, Glencoe House. Similarly, to Sedona, the highlands are for outdoor lovers. Fishing, hiking, biking, tasting and learning about Scotch are just a few must do things while in Scotland.

More memorable Andes views

Wonderful views - excellent wine & food

Mendoza, Argentina, known for the Andes and Malbec wine, it was a long flight but well worth it. Malbec is the wine of the region but grows vastly differently based on the evaluation of the terrain. Tasting boutique wines with the scenery doesn't compare to our other wine experiences. While there, take a food tasting excursion it is well worth the memorable culinary experience. If you have time and want even more good wine, take the short flight over to Santiago, Chile to do some wine and food tasting. You will need guides, don't travel on your own.

Barcelona, Spain

Each of the these are just a few of the places we would go back to and every post to date demonstrates something we have learned or experienced.

There hasn't been any place we regret visiting each has taught us something allowing us to grow as people and travelers.

Venice, Italy

Just because 2020 hasn't turned out the way we planned, we have adjusted and will continue traveling when possible hence ensuring we see every country we want too.

It has been disappointing, no travels to look forward too but we have been lucky to see a large portion of the world something we will always cherish.

The adventures remind us of the experiences we have had and the new experiences we will have even if they are a little later than originally planned.
