Lucy & Richard Lambert from Cotswolds Guided Tours have created two award winning 6 hour Cotswold tours. Choose between the Famous Cotswolds Tour & the Cotswold Highlights Tour priced at £45 per person (includes free collection from Moreton in Marsh, Stow on the Wold, Bourton & Chipping Campden).
I took the Cotswolds Highlights tour where in we travel to locations off the beaten track. to hillside villages offering wonderful views with beautiful cottages. We started the morning visiting Broadway Tower, the smallest castle in the Cotswolds with the best view in the region (entry:4.5GBP)
Just outside the broadway tower is a cafe with excellent views of the rolling meadows amongst the cover of clouds for you to enjoy a quick coffee. This tour is a great balance between remote peaceful villages & stunning market towns.
Set in a remote hillside location, this wonderful village of Snowshill is a breath-taking introduction to a Cotswolds village. Used as a filming location for Bridget Jones Diary, it will capture your heart.
Fancy an early morning pint at Snowshill Arms?
Snowshill Church
You will experience the tranquillity of the Cotswolds countryside in Snowshill, a remote village with no public transportation.
You will have enough time to wander through this beautiful village called Stanton, out next stop to discover unusual features, photograph thatched cottages, or climb up the hill for spectacular views.
A thatched cottage - the thatched roofs supposedly costs millions of pounds and need to renovated every 7-8 years.
Our next stop was the market town of Broadway. One of the prettiest market towns in the Northern Cotswolds. Wander along the wide main street. Have lunch at Crown and Trumpet Inn (pictured here is vegetable lasagna)
Do not forget to enjoy your traditional British afternoon tea at either Bantam Tea Rooms or Badgers Tea Room (both equally recommended; though i enjoyed the cream scone more at Bantam.
