Travelling to udaipur was an instant decision..the name only give u fantasy about royal palaces and luxurious resorts..
We went to udaipur from delhi via chetak express which started at 7.40 pm and reached udaipur by 8 in morning..
We then checked at – Paranoma guest house near pichola lake by 8.30
The best part about being at udaipur is that mostly tourist places are within range of – 10 km..Our guest house was approx 7 kms from railway station..
The guest house is highly recommended..it is beautifully located in old city udaipur near pichola lake with an amazing roof top view of lake and citypalace..plus its prices are economical..rooms were well maintained, lucrative curtains with neat and clean washrooms..
By 10 we went for breakfast at there roof top restaraunt which was undoubtedly amazing..the view while eating makes your experience mesmerising..and food was superbly relishing..we enjoyed our breakfast and then went to Pichola lake boating which was 10-15 mins walking from guest house..Boating was 250 rs/person for 20 minutes..and boating time was one of the best part of udaipur trip..you can see the city while boating..city palace, shiv niwas and one more hotel around citypalace is palace current king’s hotel..also you can see hotel taj which is at lease by King..then there is a oberoi hotel which is so tempting and other hotels and palace view from lake will give you zest of royalty of Udaipur City..
After boating we left for lok kala kenra which was unfortunately closed..the place is famous for puppet show..then we went to saheliyo ki bawari…after photosession there and bit of shopping we moved to fateh lake..lake has connectivity to Nehru park via boat..we spent some time at nehru park..then after spending some time there we came back to bangur ki haveli ( which was near our hotel)..it is museum plus there is very famous traditional rajasthani music and dance show there at 7 pm in evening called as – Dharovar..
We decided to take some rest at hotel and then to come back for bangur ki haveli museum and dance show..we reached there by 5.15 pm and at that time museum got closed..so it is advised to go museum before 5 pm..
Then we waited at ghat for dance and music show..took ticket by 6.15 pm and went inside by 6.30 ..we occupied front seat and waited for dance show..show began by 7 and as soon as it started we glued to the show like anything..show was extremely entertaining…stunning rajasthani dance performances and acts made udaipur trip worth..
Then we left by 8 pm and after quick shopping in market, we went back to hotel by 8.30
Dinner and drinks at roof top was like cherry on the cake..relishing food has ended the day in most ideal way..
Next day was dedicated to single tourist destination- City Palace..
We checked out by 10 pm and post breakfast at roof top, we left for City palace..the major highlight of udaipur..
Its ticket cost – 250 rs per person and we hired one guide as well..he took us to entire museum and briefed us about story of Palace and king..stories about kings and princess will sound like fairy tail..movie shootings happens in palace along with royal marriage functions..its royality will create desire to get married at such royal venue…
But such high budget will wake you from day dreaming…
Then we had lots of photoshoot at garden outside palace..
After palace visit we went to factory outlet for shopping..there you will get everything for shopping..from clothes to handicrafts..all in one store…After intensive shopping( we were girls group) we went back to hotel..collected our luggage and headed towards railway station..out train was at 5.15 pm and we reached at 5.10 am in morning to delhi..
All and all Udaipur was like a treat to visit..
