This was my first solo trip, i was very fond of traveling from the beginning itself but recent years especially covid made me realise that
"ABHI NAHI TO KBHI NAHI".
So after gathering little courage and planning a lot beforehand, I boarded the chittorgarh express to experience the thrill of Solo Backpacking.

The City Palace is the major attraction situated in the centre of old city. It was built around 400 years ago and generations have contributed in the construction of this majestic palace therefore it is an amalgamation of mughal and rajasthani architectural style. Many Other major places like Jag mandir, Karni Mata Ropeway, Jagdish Temple, Lake Pichola etc are all in vicinty of this palace.
And A good option for lunch is also available inside the city palace, they serve authentic Rajasthani Daal-Bati for 150 rs only.
To Have a full view of city i went to karni mata temple which is atop hill near city palace, you can go up there either through ropeway or you can trek to the hiltop.
Ropeway Cost- 107 INR
I witnessed there an amazing sunset and the complete view of the city.

Started The day Around 7 in the morning and visited the lake pichola

Many varieties of fishes were available and they claim to be the biggest aquarium in central India.

Around 22 vintage cars are available there. You can see the 19344 Rolls-Royce Phantom used in The Movie Octopussy, the Cadillac and many more.

Ambrai ghat is located in between the congested street of the old city i reached there in early evening to witness the sunset, and trust me it was so serene i have never witnessed such a beautiful sunset and the complete city palace is also visible from the ambrai ghat.
IF you are visiting Ambrai Ghat please reach there before 6 PM as they close entry after 6.
I headed to the Bagore Ki Haveli , (located near Ambrai Ghat) to watch the Dharohar Show. Dharohar is a group which is working towards preserving rajasthani folk stage arts.

Tip - Prebook the ticket and reach there 30 minutes early, as the seating arrangement is on first come first serve basis.
After a thrilling show i headed to the Famous Ambrai Restaurant for having dinner. It's a lake side restaurant which provides a glamorous night view of the city palace which glows beautifully in the night.
On the Day 3 i rented a scooty and headed towards Sajjangarh Palace, aka Monsoon Palace.
Entry Fees- 165 Rs
Monsoon Palace is a Hiltop palace built for enjoying the stay above the clouds in the rainy season. Although i visited in the November but still the view was so serene and calming.
360 ° view of the udaipur city is visible from the monsoon palace .
Definitely a must visit eatery in the udaipur, they've got an award for being 6th healthiest restaurant in the world.

After Visiting the monsoon palace , on my way back i visited Shilpagram, it was under some routine renovation so i couldn't get full experience there. Still i saw some artists and traditional houses.
And with an experience and lots of memories my trip end on the day 3.
Tips-
1) Rent a scooty on the day 1 itself as rapido guys won't come and ask for extra fare, and don't even ask me about the auto walas.
2) Try To witness atleast 2 sunsets, preferably one from the monsoon palace or karni mata and another one from the boat on lake pichola.
3) Get a stay near the city palace, lots of options available near in the old streets near jagdish temple.
