Arriving in Udaipur
As I arrived at Udaipur's by private bus, the warmth of Rajasthan's hospitality enveloped me. Before I came to udaipur I thought of booking a charming guesthouse in the old city, but after multiple suggestions I changed my decision and booked in a hostel that would prove to be perfect for my exploration and my solo travel budget too.
Exploring the Old City
My first day in Udaipur began with a stroll through the narrow lanes of the old city. The intricate architecture and vibrant markets immediately drew me in. I couldn't resist picking up some colorful Rajasthani textiles as souvenirs.
Discovering the City Palace
The highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the City Palace. Its grandeur and history were awe-inspiring. As I wandered through the palace's corridors, I couldn't help but imagine the royal life that once thrived within those walls.
Tranquility by Lake Pichola
A boat ride on Lake Pichola brought serenity to my journey. As I glided across the calm waters, I marveled at the beauty of the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. The reflections of the city's palaces in the lake's surface created a surreal atmosphere.
Cultural Encounters
Udaipur's rich cultural heritage came alive as I attended a traditional dance performance in Bagore Ki Haveli. The vibrant costumes and graceful moves left me spellbound, and I couldn't resist joining in the dance.
Savoring Local Delicacies
My taste buds had a field day in Udaipur. I indulged in mouthwatering Rajasthani cuisine at a local eatery. Dal Baati Churma and Gatte Ki Sabzi were simply divine, and the Rajasthani thali was a delightful culinary journey
Sunset at Sajjangarh Palace
The sunset view from Sajjangarh Palace, also known as the Monsoon Palace, was nothing short of breathtaking. The hues of the setting sun over the Aravalli Hills painted a picture that will forever be etched in my memory.
