Bali Nusa Penida - 7 days in Paradise

Overview of the Trip :

Flights – We wanted to fly direct hence we booked Garuda Indonesia which is the only carrier allowing us to fly direct from Mumbai to Bali. Our boarding date from Mumbai was 14th January 2019 (Monday) & Return date – 21st January 2019 (Monday). It was a 7.5 hour continuous journey.

Note : Book the flights at least 3 months in advance

Garuda Airlines Direct flight from Mumbai to Bali has been discontinued from April 2019

Hotels – We decided to stay in Airbnb’s for 4 nights in Ubud & Swiss Belhotel in Seminyak for 2 nights.

Day 1

Mule sayana villas

The first villa which we stayed in was called Mule Sayana Resort & Spa which was 10 kms away from the Ubud centre but had the best amenities, views, privacy and tranquility. We also had a private pool to ourselves for the 2 nights.

The Moksha Ubud

Second Villa was the Moksha Ubud which was near the Ubud centre. A good place with a shared pool, good service and awesome breakfast.

Swiss-Belhotel Petitenget

Third Hotel was Swiss Belhotel Petitenget Seminyak. It had a wonderful buffet breakfast and great city views

Day 3 - East Bali - Karangasem

Besakih Temple – Mother of all Temples (Highest Point in Bali) – (Rs 750 for couple)

Tirta Ganga Water Palace – (Rs 100 for couple)

Day 4 - Nusa Penida (One Day Tour)

We woke up at 5:30 am and arrived at 7:30 am at Sanur Pier to catch a speedboat to Nusa Penida. We arrived at the Nusa Penida Island and were greeted by Agus and Alit (the guides at Nusa Penida)

We visited the west side of Nusa Penida in the following order

Angel Billabong

Broken Beach

Crystal Bay Beach
