Small is beautiful- This old adage perfectly describes this Alpine gem which is also famous worldwide for its ski resorts and tradition of hosting winter sports competitions. It is here Salman-Katrina starrer blockbuster Tiger Zinda Hai was shot.

How to visit? How to book ticket?

Nearest major airports are Zurich & Salzburg. If you are coming from Salzburg it will take around 1 hr 50 mins by train; from Zurich it will take close to 3 hr 40 mins.

Tips: (1) It is advisable to book from oebb site as you can choose from a variety of ticket type options & get a chance to travel cheap (2)Travelling by bus is not recommended from Zurich as it will take lot of time, If coming from Salzburg you can check Flixbus.com (as of Nov 21 not operating due to covid)

How to commute locally? How to communicate?

It's a small city & everything can be accessible by foot. At tourist places you can expect locals speaking English but if you are visiting departmental stores then you can expect response in German also.

Always advisable to use google maps; incase you need local sim, it can be purchased easily @ any local store (w/o any photo proofs etc like in India).You can go for Lyca sim.

Welcome to the Headquarters of world famous crystal glass manufacturer Swarovski @ Kristallwelten (Crystal Worlds). Located at Wattens some 40 min bus ride from Innsbruck city center, this is a wonder which you would not like to miss.

You can book bus tickets @ https://www.vvt.at/page.cfm?vpath=index. One way fare is a decent Euro 5.3 (Nov 21 rates)

Tips: (1) There is also a Swarovski outlet @Innsbruck old town

However you get budget collections only in Crystal World (for eg pendent as low as Euro 40[Jul 19 rates])
