On this International Mountain Day, I would love to share what mountains taught me.
Mountains have always been my first preference when it comes to travel. I like the picturesque views, pristine blue waters, the chilly wind in my hair, standing tall on the edge of a cliff and witnessing beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I love the seclusion of mountains where nature has not been manipulated by man.
I have learnt that mountains are much more beyond seeing those mighty peaks. It is more about waking up amidst the mist, with view of floating clouds, clear skies and the music of those insects & birds.
And above all, reaching to the top of a mountain gives me a sense of achievement, The struggle during the climb gives me a sense of what not giving up means, it helps me in overcoming my fears. Mountains teach you to love and respect every small thing in life.
