So, we pre-planned all bookings like staying and commute, as we planned for our trip to nagtibba.
We took a package which included everything like tent, sleeping bag, traveller from dehradun, food which you are going to carry by yourself if you don't take any kind of packages or anything.
Pantwari is starting point of your trek to nagtibba, its appx. 90km away from nagtibba. To reach there you have to take either share cabs or buses for mussorie and from there you can take bus to pantwari.
You can rent your gum boots in pantwari, as they are good option when you trek in snow.
We started our trek from pantwari at around 12:30 PM after having some breakfast. The sun was making it difficult to trek with our backpacks on. At one point I felt like giving up as it was too sunny and you have to sip water again and again. The difficulty level of trek was moderate but too much stones were there and they were kind of slippery like rolling out, I was afraid that what if I fall and hit my head on that.
But, neverthless, sipping water, clicking selfies and admiring the view I reached at our basecamp, goat village, which was our stay for night, it was appx. 5km from pantwari.
Post allotments of tent I was enjoying my chai pakora, as I watched, disappearing sun, behind those green mountains.
Connectivity from the other part of world has ended as there was no mobile network, expect in some places you may get airtel network.
No electricity, no network just a lot of stars shining in the sky made my night beautiful.
We did some bonfire had dinner then went to sleep.
Again, we woke up at 4:30 in morning, had some tea and bread and got ready for our second trek. It was little difficult then previous trek for appx. 1.5 km and after that we entered in forest, small up and down pathways, between trees, were eye soothing and we started our trek at 5 in morning with flash light, with cool breeze without getting heated up by sun.
After 2km of trek you will start to get snow if you are trekking in end december or jan or feb.
The snow was making my journey easy, and the view we were seeing was calming, pacifying.
And, do note there is no water points overthere, so keep your water bottles, some chocolates with you, to give you energy as it is appx. 7km trek from your base camp.
Be careful while returning down from your trek as snow may get slippery, do wear gum boots. We played in snow, sat there and admired the view. After spending some time in top came back to our base camp, had lunch and started descending down to pantwari, it took around 3 hours.
From there we got got our traveller for dehradun.
Things to note:
1. Its good to take a package overthere if you are a beginner at trekking, otherwise you need to carry your tents and sleeping bags with you, which will make your trek difficult.
2. Keep water bottles with you, you can fill them on your way.
3. Do keep some chocolates or energy bars with you.
4. Keep a torch with you and most important a power bank too.
5. Rent gum boots for snow.
And, thats all folks!!
Happy Trekking!!!
