One of the iconic landmarks of Washington D.C., the Washington Monument is all set to welcome back visitors from 9.00 am tomorrow, announced the National Mall and Memorial Parks branch of the National Park Service. The stunning 555-foot stone obelisk will be open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm all week, starting July 14.
According to the statement released on the official website of the National Park Service, visitors must purchase the entry tickets in advance on recreation.gov as they wouldn't be sold on-site. Tickets listed as 'not yet released' will become available for booking a day before the tour date. Additionally, NPS also mandates the use of masks for all visitors above 2 years, regardless of their vaccination status.

The Washington Monument, which was first closed in March 2020 due to the outbreak of the pandemic, reopened for a brief period in October before the NPS shut it down again in January over security concerns.
