By Air:Nearest airport is Visakhapatnam International Airport

By Rail:Visakhapatnam junction

Day 1

I reached Vizag airport in afternoon and went directly to hotel Ambica Sea Green via ola(367/-). Hotel was at Beach road overlooking Lawson's Bay Beach.I booked Premium Sea view room overlooking beach for first day of stay.

After taking rest in room, I went for exploring evening.

Matsya Darshini

Its a public aquarium having freshwater and saltwater fish along with tortoise.

TU 142 Aircraft Museum

TU 142 naval aircraft served Indian Navy for a long period of 29years then it converted into a museum which offers delightful experience about lives of navy people.It has an exhibition hall which comprises of survival kit, anti submarine missiles etc.

Day 2

I upgraded my room to Acqua stay well in same hotel for having unique experience of acquarium beneath my foot with glass floor.

Kailasagiri

After having breakfast, I went to explore Kailasagiri which is a hilltop park overlooking city of Vizag with a major attraction of 40feet tall statue of Lord Shiva and Parvati.The hilltop can be reached by ropeway as well as road.There are many cafes inside park to have refreshments.

Lumbini Park

While returning back from Kailasagiri, I came across Lumbini park which offers wonderful view of Lord Buddha Statue placed in the center along with sea.

RamaKrishna Beach

Finally after exploring city, i went to RK Beach to relax and soothe my ears with waves sound.Its a very popular beach among tourists as well as locals and get crowded in evening. One can have a view of a hill shaped in Dolphin's nose.

Day 3-Day 4

Visit to Araku valley(hill station)- will be covered in diff blog

Day 5

Reached back to same hotel as I was having my return flight in night so utilised whole day for exploring Vizag more.

Indira Gandhi Zoological Park

Located amidst Seethakonda Reserve forest, one of interesting fact is that its divided into separate sections and there's a section for butterfly and moth.

Rushikonda Beach

One of the few beaches of India coveted with eco label 'Blue Flag' perfect for nature lovers with green surrounding, golden sand and tidy waves of Bay of Bengal.Its one of the cleanest beach with visible blue water.

Sovenier

Do not forget to buy Machilipatnam(one of type) kalamkari sarees designed with vegetable dyes and wooden block and coffee.I bought from Lepakshi Handicraft Emporium.
