It was a beautiful saturday morning. Me and my friend (Anky) was all set for our first ride after Lockdown. This ride was special for me as it was first ride of my new RE Himalayan BS6.
We started the ride at 6 in the morning.
"दिल की ख्वाहिंशो के साथ हम घर से निकल आए"
Rohtak-Joshimath (560KM)
We were happy like little kids. We were enjoying the Highways. The cool breeze of the early morning was a perfect cherry on the cake. In between, we had our breakfast and after a ride of 5 hours, we reached Kotdwar (Entry point to Uttrakhand). There we had our permit and RT-PCR COVID 19 reports got checked by UK Administration. Finally after an hour, we were allowed to enter UK.
"माना के मंजिलें अभी दूर है". In this line, there is Hint where I was heading😉
Our assumptions went wrong a little bit about the road conditions after Srinagar (UK). Srinagar lies on Haridwar- Badrinath Highway. From 8PM to 8AM, widening of Badrinath Highway was going on and we stucked there Finally, after a tedious drive of almost 20 hours, we reached Joshimath.
Joshimath-Badrinath-Mana- Joshimath (90kms)
Well, its Day 2 arrival. A perfect day out for the Hiamalayan ( Built for all roads, Built for no roads).
But before starting our ride, lets have a look at the resort. The Tattva Resort is a beautiful resort with all the amenities and a picture perfect scenic view
The Duo (KTM RC 390 and RE Himalayan) were ready for its photoshoot😎
Sometimes, we cross miles just to capture that one moment. Finally, I was here at
"Mana- The Last Indian Village "
Mana is a Village near Indo- Tibbet Border and is just 3KMs from Badrinath Dham. It is believed that Pandavas passed through this village enroute their journey to the Heaven. I stayed at Mana for half an hour and enjoyed Maggi, Tea and Omlette (a perfect Trio for Me) at Last Indian Dhaba. I'm getting emotional here , so a little bit poetry will work here.❣️
"ये पहाड़ी रास्ते और ये श्व़ेत से झ़रने
इन बादलों की आंख मिचोली में, मेरे दिन रात ढ़लने"
And from here, I headed back to Badrinath Dham. I visited the temple and took blessings from Badri Vishal. And then, we came back to our resort in Joshimath.
Good morninggggggg Friends. Well Day 3 kicks in. What a feeling it was thinking about the last day that we actually did it!!. We had our ride at Mana (Last Indian Village) for which we came here, so far. I had my JBL by my side (Muscial Morning was a perfect top notch to start the day). After having our breakfast, we started our discussion ( चाय पर चचा॔) And, we start it with a confused mindset. Actually, Anky wanna head back to his home and I was in no mood to end this journey here
"अभी तो लम्हों का नशा होना शुरू हुआ था"
So after a 30 min discussion, Anky decided to go back and I decided to go for another solo ride and I headed for..... (Kindly read the whole story to know the last stop of my ride🙏). I hope, this will work🤞
Well I left this beautiful resort and started my another solo journey. It was a 180km ride (well enough for a solo ride).
Hey!!!! Its not the last stop I'm talking about🤗🤗.
Its just another place, another beautiful masterpiece of nature. Chopta is a Valley in Chamoli District and is famous for Chopta-Tungnath- Chandrashila Peak Trek. Tungnath is considered to be World's Heighest Shiva Temple. I didn't go for this trek as I had done it earlier. I stopped here for a little break.
"मुसाफिर थे हम, किसी पहाडी़ ढाबे रुक गए
उनकी उस चाय के आगे, दिल हमारे झुक गए".
After having one more session of Maggi and Tea, I reached a point from where I have to do a trek of 18kms to reach my final destination. Its enough for Day 3. Good Night Friends😊
Everyone, who has read this story till here (A Big thank you for keeping patience). Lets move ahead and start the Day 4. It was a chilled morning yet I gathered some courage and took a bath before heading for the Trek.
Shivay- Its always the last destination of everyone's journey🙏. I was overwhelmed, eyes were filled with tears of happiness, heart was filled with joy after taking blessings of Lord Shiva
After seeking Blessings of Mahadev, I was all set to capture two beautiful shots of my Life that my heart always searched for
1) His Highness - Mt. Kedarnath (6790m). Highest Peak on South Side of Gangotri Glacier.
2) I always try to take this shot whenever I'm in Himalayas. The Galaxy View in the night from Kedarnath😍
With beautiful memories, I was all set for my way back to my home. On day 5, I trek down to Sonprayag and spent a night there.
A piece of information for all the travel souls out there- Sonprayag is a place 5kms before Gaurikund where you can go on your own. There are a number of staying options available in Sonprayag. From Sonprayag, you have to take a local taxi to Gauri Kund. From here, a trek of 18kms will take you to Kedarnath Dham.
