Are you one of those recent graduate passouts? If yes, then you would definitely be relating this blog and I expect you guys to be reliving all those memories of your college life! If no, something like this is yet to happen to you! Hold on for that moment!
It was one of those unplanned, improptu trip of our batch! It initiated with a short conversation consisting of 2-3 people, got converted to 10-14 active participants in a WhatsApp group and finally successfully completed the trip with 11 enthusiastic people!
It was my first trip with my fellow college buddies and hence you can call this as an "ice-breaker" as well! We started from our hostel (Alexandra Road) at 6:05 am. We took a bus and changed another bus to finally arrive our destination ( Bukit Timah National Park). It's situated at an elevation of 163.3 m and is mere 12 km away from the hustle and bustle of Singapore city. It is the home to diverse flora and fauna and is one of the pristine form of nature.
Just so you know, there are no entry fees to the park for the travellers. You would find many health freak people exercising on the roads just at the entrance to the national reserve! The starting point is itself very challenging and I would request all people to not lose their hope in the very beginning. The mantra to a successful trek is "slow but being steady"!
With our baby and giant steps we almost had a nice trail along the paths of the national reserve. On the way, we were the witness to some monkeys, relaxing noise of the forest, some wild flowers and an excellent memory to cherish forever!
We did exit the forest at about 10:30am but not bare handed, rather bag full of memories!
Leaving some vibrant photos for you to have a quick glance!
