Romantic landscapes and fascinating lakes perfect for sightseeing, bordered by the crags of the hazy Aravalli, a city that was established in the 16th century by Maharaja Udai Singh, is now a major heritage destination and one of the most popular tourist places in India.

We visited this beautiful city of lakes & palaces in mid of Oct 2021, There are a plethora of places to visit and things to do, which absolutely depends on your taste whether you want to visit it macro or micro level. But the best sights that we visited on our short but memorable trip are listed below.

Day 1

DAY-01 AT CITY PALACE, LAKE PICHHOLA, LAKE FATEHSAGAR, ETC.

The day started with power packed breakfast famous from the streets of Udaipur like Poha, Dhokla, Pyaaz Kachori, and Cup of Tea. We didn't book any hotel in Udaipur and stayed at my beloved friend's home.

At 13:00Hrs, We arrived at "City Palace", located east of the Pichhola lake, constructed by Maharaja Udai Singh in the 16th century.

Entry fee: ₹330.00/Visiter

Expected time to explore: 03-04 Hours

Entry Ticket including some charity donation and Museum fee

I think it is the sight, which can not be missed by any of the tourists visiting the city. You can avail a variety of snacks, photographers, etc. inside the premises. It is your choice to approach the palace by EV or by walk.

Apart from City Palace, we visited Jagmandir, Karni Mata Temple, sunset at Pichhola lake, and the day ended at Fateh Sagar lake after having Sai Sagar's famous Masala Maggi & Cold coffee. We found that Fateh Sagar Lake is the most famous and busiest among all lakes. No entry fee is there, but you have to pay for boating and other water activities depending on the availability.

Who want to miss Paneer Tikka at Fateh Sagar Lake

Day 2

DAY-02: MORNING BOOSTER BADI LAKE.

My friend prefixed where we will be visiting today, so the day started with Badi lake, almost 12-15km away from the main city but you will be fascinated by the view on both sides of the road.

They are in their own world, hard to puzzle out😘

We enjoyed the location, riding & nature's wonder with Kadak Cup of Tea (Ginger, Tulsi Leaves, Cardamom, etc.) and regional snacks, biscuits, etc. with my friend. Some captured moments are here below.

DAY-03: WRAPPING UP THE DAY:

Day 3

On D03, we left with no special activities to do in the city but we booked an entire day for Sajjangarh or Monsoon Palace, perhaps the highest in the city among all palaces. The weather favored us during the visit, it was blooming blissfully. Roads towards the spot are steep, only professional drivers can manage the sloppy curves of the road. If you're not comfortable and confident with your driving then best to opt for public transport.

Entry Fee: ₹90/Person excluding vehicle charges
