This state still considered as a pretty under-developed state. Quite dangerous too because of the Naxal attacks. I'm not denying to this fact but that's the other side of the story. Let me show you the other side or I say the beautiful side.
Though India lacks in Tourism but still government is putting all efforts to make Tourism industry better. In Chhattisgarh too, there's a lot of work happening in the tourism.
1) Chitrakoot Waterfalls, (Bastar)
One of the most popular tourist attraction. This serene beauty of the falls make you awestruck. It is also considered as the "Niagara falls of India".
Now there are more arrangements for the tourists. One can enjoy the boat ride in which you can experience the falls from a close distance (safe distance). That experience makes this place a worth seeing sight.
2) Tirathgarh Waterfalls, (Bastar)
This fall is considered as "Milky falls'. The best part about this is its criss-cross flowing pattern which makes it eye gazing. Another thing, this place has different levels if you go down you'll find different experiences. Also here you can actually enjoy the falls by taking shower xD. It's totally safe.
There's also a cave near this spot called "Kutusmar Caves". It is found by the locals tribes. Actually it's quite risky so one can go to certain extent.
Kanger ghati national Park-
This park is still untouched by the many tourist. There's a lot more to discover. Dense jungles, waterfalls makes this a paradise for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.
3) Barnawpara Wildlife Sanctuary
This sanctuary is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Chhattisgarh, comprises of two forest villages as well. Because of its diverse population of wildlife and birds, you can see some endangered species of animals and birds, varieties of flora as well.
Apart from all of that you can experience star gazing in the night. Set up a tent, melancholic music & a bonfire with loved ones, makes the night memorable. Also there are so many other activities you can do like-
a) Bicycle Trails- If you're staying in the resort you must try this. riding bicycle in the forest it's a different experience on it's own.
b) Stay at village Homestay- If you want to experience the local culture, lifestyle, cuisine then it's the best way to experience all. Most population are Tribal's so it's gonna be a different dimensions of the life.
Open air movies, Jungle safaris, Bird watching, Nature walks.... keep your cameras in handy so you can capture every moment.
4) Mainpat (Surjuga)
This the most travelled tourist place of Chhattisgarh. Every year in the month of nov-dec people visit to experience the snow. But I guess it's just a myth that one can experience snow in here. Apart from that this place has a wide varieties for travelers. Who are seeking for adventure sports, art & culture, local cuisine.. Being blessed with the abundance of natural beauty this place is still considered as the underrated hill station. This is widely known for their Tibetan community living there for the last 4, 5 decades.

Last but not the least. This place is the best example, if we work on tourism how much change we will gonna experience. There was a time when people just went to see the dam n click pictures. But now, it's become a paradise for water lovers not just them but for everyone. From all the water sports to staying in the resorts, sandbanks near the river, camping, weekend getaway & a lot of other activities.
There's an adventure park near this place. Where you can enjoy your picnic, adventure activities, music, Bonfire. There's a mini trail which leads you to a picturesque landscape and not just that you can also experience the other side of the river. Also there are mini resorts to stay there so you can enjoy the peace of river in the morning & in night as well.
