We planned this trip mainly because we wanted to visit Gartang gali in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, it's a bridge which was used for trade between India and Tibet many years back and after Indo-China war this was closed and was open for tourism last year only.
We started our journey from Dehradun, Uttarakhand early in the morning on our bikes, with 5 of my friends. There are 2 routes to reach Harsil from Dehradun, one is from Mussoorie and other is from Rishikesh. We preferred Mussoorie one because it's short but the road is single lane, so if you prefer good broad roads and are not experienced driver prefer the other route. As it was a rainy season it started raining as soon as we reached Dhanaulti. We took a hault there for some chai and pakoras, Dhanaulti offers you with some beautiful landscapes.
And after that we took a break after reaching Chinyalisaur, it's a small town in Uttarkashi district. Took some photos there and some videos. We took a lot of time there so we decided to continuously drive till Harsil. There were so many beautiful landscapes on our way but we decided to cover them on our way back.
After driving continuously for the whole day we reached Harsil.
It got dark when we reached there. We had our room booked in a small village named Bagori, the rooms were amazing. The most impressive thing about those rooms was the smell of the wood and the interior was beautiful. As all of us were tired we had our dinner and it was time for a good night sleep.
