Travelling and the urge for travelling is the best remedy for any kind of depression or imbalance.
Urge to travel is that amber which even burns when everything goes South and keeps us going North. In med college there were times when I felt like leaving my studies but it took just a weekend day trip which brushed away all the negative thoughts and kept me going.
In this world where people spend fortunes on things which really don’t matter after a week or day or even after an hour, a wise man spends on travelling. Traveling not just gives us happiness but also that urge to live more and to keep travelling more and explore new woods.
Not all mountains are the same, not all beaches are the same, every other piece of earth is completely unique. Travelers are people who have seen more of society than anyone, because they travel for the purpose of living and not to make a living. It is not just about going places and returning, but it is about living those moments in the present and storing them in your memories forever.
Traveling is the best fixed deposit one can make as you can reap the rewards as and when needed.
In today’s world where a tiny virus pushed us all in these concrete wall cages, it is just the memories which helps us keep going and it is these memories which keeps a fire burning in and give a hope for a better tomorrow so why not make memories worth keeping while you can.
Live a life that nobody has to pity even if you don’t see a tomorrow. Traveling is that investment which gives you joy both during investing and then repays you all your life with its never ending returns in the form of memories.
I don’t remember the shirt I wore when I went out for the last movie but I do remember the roads I traveled, the streets I walked on my Phi-Phi trip 3 years back. I remember the bike ride on the winter morning on my weekend getaway 4 years back.
I even remember the maggi I had 4 years back at maggi point Mussoorie.
It is so true that nothing is permanent, the future is uncertain, the past can’t be changed but what can be done is only in the present. It is this day which will become the past tomorrow and had you enjoyed the present will decide what memories you carry tomorrow.
It is sad that society has made travelling something reserved only for break and not something part of daily life. In this chaos of life humans are turning into just robots who wakes up daily, walks to work, runs back home and sleep, only to repeat the same routine the next day. Is this the only purpose for which the almighty made his best creation (humans) for ??
Nobody knows where one’s circle of life will end. So why keep tomorrow for travelling and break, when you can live the way you want today. Don’t let your daily life be the baggage on your shoulder which you don’t want to carry.
Surround yourself with people who are ready to travel mountains and oceans with you.
Traveling is not an expensive deal because all you buy with your eyes even in a day trip, stays with you for decades. All you need is that one right moment to say yes and let your soul travel free spirited.
The past few months made me realise how lucky I am that all I bought on my weekends in the past years proved to be those cherishing moments that help me live every present moment.
While you can, fill your bag with memories and moments that will help you stay sane when others go insane.
Why make traveling a dream for tomorrow when it is the only dream which can be made true the very next moment.
Happiness is not something ready-made,
It comes from your own actions.
