Travelling Is not a Rocket Science

One of the first questions people ask when they are really excited by the status updates is “How do you manage the money and time with a full-time job and expenses all around?” Well, I don’t blame them because few years ago, I was in their shoes. The only answer is “Where there is a will, there's a way”. It’s not preachy, but definitely true. If you really want to do something, you will find out a way no matter what. It’s all about prioritizing with determination, patience and flexibility to make major lifestyle changes, if travelling is all you want. I have learnt the tricks of taking out every possible opportunity to see a new place. The key is to come out of your comfort zone and be ready to enjoy the real world out there.

Being a nice person never hurts. Luckily for me, I have gotten along well with most people I came across in my life; as a result, I get a welcoming invitation to their places :)

Make new friends and travel to their place. It might save you a considerate amount on accommodation. In lieu, do not forget to take small gifts for them or maybe treat them out with a lunch or dinner.

If visiting a family with children, please ensure to take gifts for children if not everyone. A nice souvenir or decorative item can be gifted to your hosts.

If you are not getting enough leaves or do not want to take many; look for extended weekends. Take a day or two in between and you are all set though keep in mind this is the time, when everyone wants to take a vacation. So, check your calendars way in advance and be done with bookings even before others realize there is one around the corner.

Now, the biggest concern is finances and the simplest answer would be "If you want something really bad and travelling is your priority, you will make it work".

The idea is to start small and GET GOING :)
