Day 1

You need a monsoon getaway then go ahead read this !

“You do not need a therapist if you own a motorcycle, any kind of motorcycle!”

Travelling is fun and on bikes by roads with your pack of friends  is a different level altogether.

Travel by ride is a concept of travelling by riding on  your favourite machine by road  with all safety precautions yet having fun ,joy and the thrill of bike ride. Travel by ride is a bikers gang based out of Bangalore.

I enjoy going on motorcycle trips and stopping in small towns and  interacting with the locals -  travel by ride exactly does the same they make the whole journey  a pleasurable experience. Travel by ride started by few of our friends who work in  IT and it was our first trip - Monsoon ride to  Sakleshpur.

Life was meant for great adventures and good friends.

We had planned for Sakleshpur and around morning 4 am we started and assembled near a govt school near toll gate.
We had basic instructions of safety gears importance of good safety gaurds like knee guard , elbow gaurd, good helmet  etc. Also the language used by bikers using hand signal and lights. After  basic briefing about the ride, we started around 530 am on the highways from Bangalore to Sakleshpur via Hassan.

We came back to our homestay - Japavathi river camp and played a round of volleyball in water it was a different kind of fun. It was tiring and our homestay provided us with hot food. It was totally amazing and fruitful day.

There was a small river next to our homestay so we went and had a nice natural Jaccuzi bath there , and had fun playing in the flowing water.  We had campfire at night and played dumbcharads , mafia and few other icebreaker games.

We came back to Bangalore around 9 pm. It was a lovely weekend getaway, I would definitely recommend Sakleshpur to all , it has everything you seek if you love nature  trekking , good homestay, temple , fort , waterfalls , river etc. Travel by ride made the whole journey more pleasent and enjoyable. They say  Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter.Friends that travel together, stay together. Do travel and have fun.

There were times when we were riding back it was frequently drizzling,   and   I heard this from someone -  if you don't ride in the rain, then you don't ride. :).
We made raincoat with huge plastic covers. It was funny  but still it worked for us against the rain - our Jugaad. We drove back in that drizzle. It was crazy but fun.
