Akshardham is a Hindu Temple of sandstone having intricate carvings, in a huge complex (23acres). The temple is a tribute to Swaminarayan, his life, and his teachings.

A breathtaking 45 minutes presentation is organized here after the sunset using water, multi-color laser, water jets, flames, and live actors

I am a big fan of Akshardham’s water and light show and recommend it to each and everybody.

• How to reach: Its 32 km from Ahmedabad Railway Station and 21 km from Ahmedabad Airport.

• What to eat: Restaurant by the name of ‘Padmavati’ inside the temple complex provides authentic Indian Food. A lot of varieties to try.

• Note: It's closed on Mondays and the timings are 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Manek Chowk – For Street food lovers
