This temple is a replica of Adi Kesavaperumal Temple in Thiruvattar, Tamil Nadu. In both temples the diety is in eternal sleep, reclining on the Adi Shesha Nag. But origin of this temple is from Ananthapuram Temple in Kumbala, Kasarkode district.
