The Squad started up from Ranikhet on sunday 22 to hit directly govindghat which nearly 254 km from our native town. In the evening we hit joshimath around 6pm an further moved to govindghat. As per our team plans firstly we haven't for kagbhusandi Lake we rolled on for satopant lake but as we reach govindghat police stops us an asked for permit from SDM,joshimath to move ahead which was earlier came in light that they are lying to us due high court order due to COVID pandemic. With our sad faces we came back to joshimath in seek of permit. But then we know actual reality about the pass/ permit. No permit will given by the SDM, Joshimath. As told by hotel owner near by tehsil joshimath. We got sad about the ruined trip of our squad. Then with same feeling we booked one room an jumped on the bed for our plans for next morning. So with all concerned we decided to do kagbusandi lake which doesnt reqd any permit( as we dont know there is also a permit issues) we spoke to several local guides to come with us. No is actually ready for the trip due to the following reasons :-
1. They all are asking for Rs 2000 for one day along with pass from forest department which is around Rs 2500 per indl.
2. Due to mansoon season the track is disturbed an very slippery.
So, our squad Decided to do kagbusandi lake without any local help or guide. As we were well prepared with our own tents an ration along with us. So we make our mind with this ulimate trek an go to sleep well because next morning will be very adventurous an exciting.
Next morning we got all ready for the trek. Packed our saddles an bag packs and done some market for our trip. Some masalas an some eateries for the trek. But fortunately forgotten to take salt😂. Zaldi bazi ke chakker me namak chut gaya apna dukan mein. Then we started from joshimath to govind ghat which is nearly 10 to 15 km ahead on badrinatha road. Wheels rolls again engines heated up for the trek along with untold excitement in our mind. Actually there are two way to reach kagbusandi lake one is from penka vill an another from govindghat bhundiyaar vill. Both trek having there own advantages/ Disadvantages. So once again we trying to get a guide for this trip from penka vill. We stopped for tea near penka an asked for the same the owner son told us that treking through penka vill will better in this season. So he called up his own son to be guide for us. But Gods Plans were unexpected an uncertain. After spoked with the tea owner son. He wants Rs 1500 per day an want us to hault on penka vill on the same day an want to start the on next day. Which is not going to be done. So we slipped on this an moved to govind ghat. An ride our bike to bundiyar village parked our bike and started ours adventurous journey of kagbhusandi Lake trek without any local guide.
