North East India will give everything what's there in the Bucket List of a traveler :)
My trip includes capturing beautiful moments amidst the beauty of nature, wonderful views of places. The home of the misty clouds taking you to the heaven's gate, this journey is worth calling " Halfway to heaven". 🖤

Preferably the best time to visit Meghalaya is October to July , as you all know the climate matters and the for it to be pleasant will add up few more moments to cherish.

I will share pictures clicked through the journey of the waterbodies , hope you guys like it. :)

Guwahati is gateway to North East , so most reasonably the journey begins from the Airport, or the railway station if you are traveling by train.

Though we missed both the sunrise and sunset , but it's a bliss to eyes, also it is one of the best panoramic sights.

The rock resembling a shape of an elephant is the reason of its name being Elephant falls, a few stairs away , it gives a view worth cherishing.

So close to the nature, the misty clouds make this place surreal. The deep lush valleys and even higher peaks, the Khasi hills , a part of garo khasi range is considered to be the place of highest annual rainfall.

A rain lovers' paradise, place holds the beautiful Nohkalikai waterfall. Acknowledged as one of the wettest place in the world, the mesmerizing village of Mawsynram is a nature lover's delight and the perfect destination to behold the beauty of the rains.

Now comes the exciting part if this tour, this part of meghalaya, one can find the root bridges made up off rubber trees, it's commonly known as the Umshiang Double Decker Living Root Bridge or simply just the Double Decker Root Bridge, you have to trek down 3200 steps to reach the place , so I won't recommend to visit this unless you are a daily hopping bug of exploring places.

Last but not the least, let's get the final call to nature and I was so amazed to see the beauty of this place, There is so much left to explore, Always! A small village where the daily city life seems futile, a life surrounded by tranquility, everything begins to take a shape with your involvement with the life here, the fisherman's life, I have already shared an album on the fisherman's life, by the river Umngot. So if you like this and if you think this post should have a thumbs up, feel free to check that out also. :)

Let me show you around through the lens. A delightful boat ride witnessing the daily life there and the crystal clear water of the river Umngot will add up to your amazement.

For your information, Dawki is the trade point between Bangladesh and India. Just by the side of Janatia hills it's a must visit for travelers and nature lovers.
