At just about 12 odd kms from Mukteshwar, far away from the crazy touristy crowd of the popular hill station spots, who knew there would be a gorgeous Farmstay tucked in a quaint little village.

The WoodHouse Farmstay”.

Blissful. Modern. Calm. A wooden house right amid the colourful scenery painted through the cotton candy blue sky, snow capped mountains far far away and serene vibes. It was the view of majestic snow covered Himalayas from the cottages that never failed to seize me. Walk a little further and you'll find plenty of colourful flora and fauna to add on the mood.

The unique layered design of the Main House coupled with wooden interiors and unbeatable mountain views blends in perfectly to match the existing terraced terrain.

Meraki, the unique cottage with 02 spacious rooms, a mini kitchenette and a private dining area is where I stayed. Covered in a dark brown texture, the cottage blends in perfectly with nature and natural light from large ceiling to floor windows. What I miss is waking up to a glimpse of the marvellous Himalayas. The interior of this boutique wooden cottage is just as unique as its exteriors.

Food lovers will have a mighty field day at Woodhouse. I absolutely loved their local speciality, Kumaoni chicken. The in-house chef catered to a delicious flavour to the dishes.
