The Golden Tusk is a leisure resort spread in over 7 acres of the meticulously landscaped estate situated 5 km short of Jhirna & Dhlea zone of Corbett National Park, on the banks of a monsoon river - Dhela. It celebrates picturesque countryside in the backdrop of forest that is an abode to rich biodiversity.
40 well-appointed accommodation, multi-cuisine & specialty dining, a wellness center, a gamut of recreation facilities and specially designed excursion itineraries offer a complete getaway experience. The rooms are further divided into-Villa, Villa Grande, Tiger Suite, Forest View Suites, Country View Suites, and Luxury Tents.
The key USP’s of the property are:
a)Luxury Tents- These are designed for adventure enthusiasts. The camps are surrounded by forest. In the night, guests can clearly hear the animal calls. They are a bit isolated from the resort, clients can enjoy the serenity of the forest. These camps are of generous size, with all modern amenities. These tents are air-conditioned, with proper lockable doors, big lounge, bedroom, changing room and ensuite bathroom. These tents are one of its kind in Corbett.
b)Water Dining- If a guest wants to experience romance in the wilderness, then this feature is for them. The Golden Tusk is the only resort, providing Water Dining facility, in whole Corbett. The seating arrangement is made in the water dining pool, where you can enjoy a candlelit dinner, with the butler at your call and don’t forget the forest background.
c)Adventure Activities- The Golden Tusk believes in taking care of the youngest of the guests, who grace the resort. There are ample activities for young as well as older adventure enthusiasts; they can opt from rappelling, ladder climbing, Burma bridge, spider web, commando net, flying fox, etc. Proper trainer along with safety measures are put in place. One can challenge his/her limits and learn something new, during the holidays.
Verdict: I love this resort because of the welcoming vibe. You are at home away from your home. The resort offers a lot for everyone. The kids can try out adventure sports flying fox, commando net, rock climbing etc. If you are a reader like me, pick up a book and head towards the nearest hammock. Water Dining is one experience which I will surely recommend. I stayed in the new villas, they are chic, with all the necessary comforts. Take your kids on the property tour, they have a wide variety of flora and fauna, which one will not see regularly in India. They have the national tree of Argentina on the property.
If you are looking for a luxury stay, within a decent budget, than this place is highly recommended.
