Between 14th to 16th century, this city was the most important seat of economical, political and cultural developments.






It served as the origin for the Italian Renaissance.
The currency of Florence popularly known as the gold florin served the economic and industrial development of the entirety of Europe.
The noble family of Medici was settled in Florence as well.
Teeming with historic significance since the early 14th century, this city has evolved to preserve a variety of art and culture, art being the truest essence of the city.


During the Second World War, this city had experienced German rule. Later the Germans were driven out by the Allied powers.
