DOBRA CHANTI SUSPENSION BRIDGE

Dobara chanti , highest motorable road bridge approx 440 m across alaknanada river is a must see destination in garhwal region . It looks like a ship 🚢 if you observe it from distant , riding on top of bluish green alaknanada river. It comes under tehri region of garhwal.
For tourists it's a hidden jewel and a picturesque place with breath taking views. One thing to watch out is the stretch which holds this route. One profound observation about Garhwal mountains is their huge stature. Highways are very still and carved out very vividly if you mind saying it dangerously. The local cuisine touch and the warmth of the village hospitality is worth to add three star to a trip. Short tea breaks on outlets are refreshing.

PAUKHAL

Not quite famous but village has worth exploring spirit if you see it from the passer by perspective as it falls in between srinagar to uttarkashi route. It can be used as a halt if in case you start a bit late from srinagar (GARHWAL ) or pass through it. Word of caution ⚠️ during winters the climate freeze like hell and roads are curvy with no street lamps (from last i remember) or even if they were, quite distant. So one thing start with the intention so you get to witness nature for some time in evening and advice would be to getup early and add a promising sunrise on top of greenish farmland to your experience basket. Nothing better then that.

NIM UTTARKASHI

Nehru institute of mountaineering is best known for its mountaineering and other adventure courses , the premises showcase its history across the years. I visited it during covid times with limited exposure to premise buildings and resources. I was able to figure out the various expeditions and the personals who conducted them either solo or with groups. Trek climbing equipments drench your heart as you can relate to your own adventure moments. For interested ones booking for courses can be made through office or through website ( reason being as this information is not as known as expected as I cited few of members in one facebook group asking for it so here it goes ). Some rescue vehicles and stories associated gives you immense popular to know how many people it has helped out in need.
