Always dreaming of taking parents to Kashmir, managed to clear bucket list in October 2021
Took a 5 night 6 day package covering srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgham.
Day 1-
Flight to srinagar.
Local sightseeing included Shalimar -famous for various movies shoot
(mughal gardens) , botanical Garden ,tickets Rs 24 pp(only cash)
Chasmeshahi
Shankaraachaary temple(must visit)
Mobiles & camera not allowed
Zero bridge near Rajbhagh
Most famous place -Lal Chowk 🇮🇳
Note*gardens and temple get closed by 5 pm
We covered shankaraachaary temple on last day as we were late for entry timings.
So we took a shikara ride for Rs 400 for 3 people for 30 min. (Can be negotiated)
Day 2-
Leave early for sonmarg to avoid traffic jams.

Around 2 hours drive from srinagar.
Both options available pony or cab ride.
Cab includes 6 points. Costed us 6k for tavera car

Amarnaath base camp
Zozila pass
War Memorial
Last village of India.
Famous for (Men with 30 kids)
For horse ride. Around 2k pp
Thajiwas glacier.
Came back to srinagar.
Day 3-Srinagar to Gulmarg.
Around 2-3 hour drive.
Famous for gandola cable car and atv bikes
Cable cost rs 740 pp till Phase 1
Atv bikes cost 2k pp covering maharja palace, lake and 2-3 points.
By pony will cost around Rs 1200
Guide will cost Rs 500( no need to take guide)
Raincoat and snow boots (300 per head) rented
Back to srinagar
Pahalgham
3 valley aru, betaab, chandanwadi.
Took tavera for Rs 2100 (pick and drop from hotel)
No negotiations here(government rates)
Chandanwadi Valley-for waterfall (free entry) best among 3
Betaab valley-Rs 100 ticket pp (*overrated)
Aru valley- horse ride (free entry) beautiful roads and scenic views.
Done shopping from local market.
Note*-book hotel near to market only.
The most awaited thing to do in Kashmir.

Stayed at shefistan house Boat(one of best near garden)
Rate 3 k per room
Meals including breakfast and dinner.
