In the modern age, there are many things we take for granted and don't think twice about how these things came into existence and what the story behind it is. Taking a photograph is one such privilege, that is accessible to everyone in their pockets vis-a-vis a mobile camera. If you like photography and wonder about the story behind how this art came into existence, then I would recommend you to have a tour of Museo Camera.
This museum has been conceptualised and set up by famous photographer Mr.Aditya Arya and has grown out of his personal collection of antique camera equipments. It has 3 levels for display. Ground floor has the permanent display gallery, museum shop and dark room. The first and second floor have the exhibition gallery. Also there is a library on the second floor about photography to sit n read if you like.
The permanent display gallery has an extremely well curated set of displays, which covers all aspects of the evolution of photography and also provides the history of all famous brands that are associated with cameras and photography. There is a fully functional dark room to understand the process of analogue photo printing.
There are fun studio places and props as well to take some fun photographs . As my toddler had tagged along with me, the scooter, auto rickshaw and amby kept him engaged while I explored the galleries.
The whole place seems like a beautiful piece of art .It's a great example of how a work of love , passion and precision can charm its way to anybody's heart.
