Traveling alone wasn't a new thing for me. 6 months back I traveled Hong Kong alone on my Backpack.

Taipei City

Taiwan has always been a place I wanted to be. Its a lesser known country in our part. Its a wonderful place. The life is steady and the people around are the most friendly. Taipei City is the perfect place to be. The Food was the excellent part.

As a backpacker I prefer to stay in Youth Hostels which are very budget friendly costing around Rs.1200 Per night and the best part is you get to meet a lot of people who are like-minded like you. So even I'm traveling alone, I'm never lonely. I always have someone to hangout with. You end up becoming great friends with them and who knows u may travel with them again soon.

Traveling alone makes you know your strengths and your weaknesses. It makes you a better person. 6 months back in Hong Kong, I was a very shy traveler. But in Taipei, I met many people. I used to talk to random people on the streets, locals and who ever come my way. I had a local friend who I met on Couchsurfing website who was really helpful in guiding me throughout the tour.

I had tons and tons of discussions with people from politics to God. I came to know how much Taiwanese don't want them to be labelled as a part of China, their liking for Japan and much more.

Taiwan is a place to go guys. Take it down on your bucket list.

台北漫步旅店 Meander Taipei Hostel

This is the best Hostel I've been to. Its a huge hostel with a common room and also a Kitchen. The rooms were well maintained and the Washrooms were adequate unlike other hostels I met great people here. My room mate, Ting, a Hong Kong guy became a wonderful friend and we still keep in touch and discuss our travel plans.

National Palace Museum

Great place if u love the History. Artifacts and lot of Historical items are here for display which simply blows away our mind

Tamsui Fisherman's Wharf

It is known as the Lover's bridge Best Sunset I've seen so far

Shihlin Market

Best place for shopping and Local Food This was a memorable place for me. 2 Girls approached me and asked if I could give them a radio interview. They do interviews on foreigners in Taipei. It was nice. I met 2 Expats there from the USA and ending up talking around 1 hour about God. Haha
