Weeks on end working our butt off we need to get away from that daily routine when deadline means nothing, morning starts without alarm clock and at the day's end we get to say 'what a day!' But when we only got a day or two to spare and only the weekend is all we got before we go back to our nagging boss (don't tell my boss tho, she'd be furious) what do we do? I mean let's be real a weekend ain't not enough for those spa trip to Thailand or a romantic trip to the Eiffel Tower. Not even enough for a getaway to Goa.
So here's for you a day's trip to a place close to your home. For all those from West Bengal sulking at your house thinking Digha, Darjeeling is too much for your weekend trip give this place a go... It's Sundarbans but not quite.. And those who are just in a mindset for a solitary island by the river what are you even thinking about? Pack your bag, get, set, Go!
So here's what to check out.
1.The Piyali River
On the island's one side the Piyali River is flowing with beautiful ripples. Fishermen's boat floating around. The river Piyali joins the Matla River about 32 kilometres (20 mi) below Canning. Which is the gateway of Sundarbans.
2.The Matla River
On the other side of the island is flowing the river Matla. Flowing in and around Sundarbans Matla meets Piyali at Dongajora, creating the sedimentary island.
3.The Dam
The dam on Piyali River connects the island with the mainland. Making beautiful ripples in the river, the dam stands tall with the bridge heading straight to the island resort.
4.The nature
Being so near the vicinity of the Sundarbans the enriched mangroves are a great tourist attraction. And the wide range of variety of birds makes it a birdwatcher's paradise.
This was Piyali for me... Go see it find out more...
