Not All Who Wander Are Lost.--J. R. R. Tolkien
The last minute dropping out of a friend, just few hours before the journey begins put my first trip of the monsoon to Lonavala in danger. I went to sleep with so much rage in my heart because nothing I hate more than a cancelled plan. The next morning i woke up before the sun, knowing that the day is not going to be as what i had planned. I did not give up. A part of me was calling me from inside - "seize the day my friend, seize the day".
I got up, packed my bag and left home alone(like the song of Rabindranath Tagore: "Ekla cholo re" meaning = go alone) to seize the day. May be the god's will was also in my favour which was clearly felt in the weather of the day. Around 10 AM I reached Lonavala station, unknown place, dialled few numbers to gain more info but failed because everyone go to this place by personal or pre-booked vehicle as all the points are in different places which is costly for a lone person.
So i thought of at least visiting a good point and go back home. So took an auto and sailed for the "Lions Point". In the way I crossed another point "Bhushi Dam" which i planned to visit on my way back. When i reached Lions Point, it was completely covered in the fog, nothing left to see. I doubt myself for not giving up.
Within few minutes, the weather changed magically, the sky became crystal clear and the view from the heaven was in front of my eyes.
I enjoyed this amazing view with sweet corn for like an hour and decided to walk towards the Bhushi Dam which was around 6-7 KM away from Lions point. Then came the clouds and rain to ease my journey.
After 80 mins of walking in rainy shower, i reached Bhushi Dam. The dam was closed for some reason but the waterfall saved the day. I spent round an hour under the waves of the beautiful waterfall.
Then i walked another 4-5 KM to Lonavala station and came back to Mumbai at 9 PM. I was tired like hell, exhausted. My roomies and friends called me crazy for going alone that far. But I would never be able to explain the experience and fun i had the whole day.
