Sikkim Diaries..

The journey started from Varanasi to Gangtok...we arrived at New Jalpaiguri railway station (119km from Gangtok)...We Hired a sharing cabwhich took around 3-4 hours to reach Gangtok...checked in to hotel..
First work we did after reaching Gangtok was to apply for the permit for Nathula pass..
We got the permit & got the bookings done from agency nearby mg Marg.
So as day we didn't have enough time & so much place to cover...So we hired a taxi from taxi stand near to mg Marg for ₹1000 for 10 spots which includes:-
1.hanuman Tok
2.bhanjkari Waterfall
3.ganesh Tok
4.Tashi View Point
5.Rumtek Monastery
6.Gangesh Temple
7.Flower Show..
8.tibetian University
9.orange village..
10.Ropeway(170 per person)
Day ends & we had our dinner in mg Marg restaurant.

So we started our journey from chandmari taxi stand in Gangtok at 8:00 clock...
After Army check post we started our journey to Nathula pass...Do wear heavy winter clothes as the temperature is 0-1 degree...
journey to Nathula pass is extremely adventures..U will face many water crossings on the way to your journey...As soon as you drive uphill..You will get to see all mountains convered with clouds...it will seems like you driving in the sky...So after about 2:30 hours of drive we reached Nathula pass which is protected by Indian army...Got goosebumps after seeing that checkpost & efforts of our soldiers how the survive in such extreme tough situation..low altitude, low oxygen, -5 degree Temperature...
Basically Nathula pass is indo China border where trade between China & India happens...where trucks of China enters in India & Indian trucks enter China ..
Photography is not allowed at Nathula pass..but somehow we managed to take some photos...
On the way to journey the driver will stop at some small home restaurant where u can take jackets on rent & get some delicious Maggi to eat..they also offer brandy in order to deal with cold...😂.
& Then we visited Tsogmo Lake & changu Lake where views are awsome nd so much peace to be there...took some photos and proceeded downwards to Gangtok...
No need to worry about the driver as it is their daily work to carry tourist to that location...
Overall a must visit place in Gangtok...
