While we were planning, our Dr. Saab (Ravindra Singh Rawat) asked, if we are planning to go kasauli, why can’t we extend our plan to Shimla?
Everybody had 5 sec pause and looked each other’s face if anybody disagrees. Interestingly everybody agreed! Here we go …
We were too excited and energized after office hours to reach Ghaziabad railway station. We were stuck in traffic due to as usual heavy traffic in Ghaziabad. But, big thanks to our Ola driver who could manage to reach railway station just 5 minutes before our train departing time.
Train started at correct time 10:10 PM from Ghaziabad railway station.
We were 4 Software Engineer office colleagues. Believe me, we were talking about third party APIs before we went to sleep. Lol !
We were so excited that we get up around 5:30 AM before our alarm shout on us. After having freshen up, we immediately rushed to our bike vendor, who was responsible for arrangment of bikes for us on rent. We picked Royal Enfield 350cc classic and Avenger 220cc bike. Me(Mithliesh) and Dr. saab (Ravinder Singh Rawat) loved the Royal Enfield ride while Sonal Jain and Pervez Malik took Avenger’s ride.
“Bike rent- 1400 Rs Per bike, 5,000 Rs deposit per bike and one of us original Aadhar card as deposit”
It was 8:00 AM early in the morning, our bikes were full tank. Dr. Saab took out his Oneplus3T and Get Direction from Chandigarh to Shimla and we started our ride.
Chandigarh city is beautiful, clean and have sexy roads. I really liked the way people follow all the traffic rules here. You might often see luxury cars on the roads of Chandigarh, as we know, Punjabis love cars, kudi and lassi.
Moving around 1 hours, we took breakfast at mountain view dhaba. We had yummie paneer-parantha, ilaichi-chai and masala-maggi. Yes, we had photo session too with Oneplus5 :-)
It was around 2:00 PM, we have travelled almost 130 kms in the mountains. We were little tired. There is very good parking facility in Shimla, we parked our bikes in the commercial parking and rushed to our hotel which was 2 minutes walking distance.
Hotel room was very neat and clean, all around wooden theme of hotel was looking classic. Two Round beds each for two person, Tv, Ac etc. Hotel staff were helpful and service was good. Room’s one side had all glass wall and curtains. It has beautiful mountain view.
“Keep your windows, balcony door close all the time, there are lots of monkey all around who can dare to enter your room”
After two hours rest, we went to Ridge mall road. We went crazy watching moving clouds at very low height, it was pleasantly chilly. There is church, and Indian flag in the center of mall road.
Pleasant chilly evening went more chilly after we had ice-cream from nearby shop. We spent some time on the ridge mall road and enjoyed the views. People were taking group selfies, eating street food, street shopping.
To make our trip memorable, we thought to spend our time to make group sketch from an artist who was sitting on the street of ridge mall road.
Here is our face sketching timelapse video.
We had a blast at night out party. Everyone of us enjoyed the late evening party. We also took short walk to the street of Shimla in the night.
THE CELEBRITY MOMENT
Early morning we had lovely breakfast from hotel. We had same T-shirt with quote “Aao kabhi Haveli pe !”
Everybody on the street of shimla went crazy while watching our catchy T-shirt quote. There was group of some people said, "Bhaiya aap logo ki T-shirt bahot mast hai" and we want to click a picture with all of you.
To take a close look of Shimla we went to the local street of Shimla. We saw, how people of Shimla starts their life.
Around 12:00 PM, we started our journey on bikes from Shimla to Kasauli. It was all around beautiful mountains during the ride. Ride to Kasauli was more pleasant than the roads of Shimla. Roads were more crazy, slippery, and more uphill and narrow. We halted the ride after 2hours on the way to Kasauli.
It was pleasure greenery all around the place. Every one of us went mad and we have clicked lots of pictures.
We had loads of fun and to get back the same energy, we thought to have some food at Kasauli.
Streets of Kasauli was lil busy, we walked around the street to find gift for our family. To know the local people, culture of Kasauli, we thought to talk with parking guards. These two person were talking with each other and discussing a issue about mobile. I was in the front, and took initiative to sort out their mobile issue.
We had discussion about how people spend their time in Kasauli. What local shopkeeper do for living in Kasauli. The candid conversation went more crazy when one the guards told us about his love story.
Dr. Saab, from his research on the local things he suggested to move ahead and have lunch at Haveli Restaurant.
Once our tummy said, yes dude I am feeling energetic, we started our ride again.
Clouds were thundering at the same time. Here she goes, it was raining heavily.
According to Pervez Malik forecast, there was no chances of raining. He didn't take his raincoat with him.We looked at him and we all three were laughing at him(Pervez Malik).
We were lucky to get under shed immediately when the rain started. We took some tea and sandwich. We thought rain will stop in fews minutes. We found it is continuously raining.
Plan B: we put out our rain coats and started our bike ride again.
Bike might slip in rainy road keeping this in our mind,We were moving slowly towards Chandigarh.
So, we got everything which we are expecting on road trip. Pleasant weather, awesome people, rain.We couldn't expect anymore.
We took our dinner around 10:00 PM at dhaba after deposit of our rental bikes. Our Train was expected to arrive around 1 AM. We reached Delhi around 6:30 AM in the morning.
Thank You Dr. Saab (Ravinder Singh Rawat) , Sonal Kumar Jain and Pervez Malik to make trip amazingly awesome.
