A fun overnight trip to Scottsdale. Because it was the dead of summer, the rates were unbelievably cheap ($75 for a room that would often be over $150). Since the temperature wasn't much worse than Vegas, we were able to take advantage of the mostly deserted town. There were a lot of great Groupon offers too which helped drive down the trip cost considerably!
Got a great rate at a place with great amenities. You can tell this was a renovated older property but it's got a great pool and wonderful lobby. There is a free shuttle to anything within three miles (we tipped well and took great advantage of this service), a happy hour in the lobby (with great lemonade too), and firepits with s'mores kits. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Not sure why this place had a Groupon, they don't need it! This is some of the best gelato I've had outside of Italy.
Huge shopping center, lots of great shops if you're looking to do some shopping.
We stopped for tea and the service was wonderful. Gorgeous property with beautiful views. Great tea too!
Great meal (reasonable three course pre set dinner); slightly snooty service from everyone but our server. Perfect place to watch the sunset.
