Saputara is a Hill station situated on the Dang forests plateau at an elevation of 1000 meters in Dang district of Gujarat, it took us approximately 5 hours from Surat to reach the top.
It was a Day Trip, I wish we had planned for more days as the drizzling misty climate wasn't letting us leave the place but we had to.
We were told that Monsoon is not the right time to visit Saputara, but we are glad that we went in Monsooni August though it was quite cold due to misty climate, I wish we were allowed to lit a bon fire, so I would suggest you to carry the warm cloths if traveling in monsoon season.
It was drizzling with heavy fog as visible in the pictures as well, we couldn't see much far and couldn't witness the sunset and sunrise, initially we felt quite cold as well but soon after we got ourselves soaked by the drizzle and stopped forcing ourselves to see through the heavy fog and started enjoying right in the place wherever we were as if the nature has slowly taught us the lesson for lifetime, the lesson to feel the moment, get the climate soaked in you, absorb the positivity and inhale the fresh air, and just chill wherever you are, just be in the moment whether it's drizzling, chilling or foggy just get yourself soaked completely, you just don't need to cover the places but absorb the serenity.. Get lost in the mist and find yourself back.
Since it was monsoon season, the journey through the lush green Dang forest was simply refreshing that we weren't in any hurry to reach the destination, we took breaks enroute and clicked some candid moments.
In Saputara we enjoyed the boat riding in Famous Saputara lake, ate local delicacies, visited the aquarium, and famous step garden, on the way back visited the botanical Garden in waghai,
and captured the unforgettable moments of our journey in our camera.
Though there are many more points of attractions in Saputara, but these can be seen when there is no mist.
Saputara is the best place for hiking and trekking, we can reach the place through the dang forests as well.
If want to experience the sunrise and sunset.. The right time to visit is winter season.
