Saputara, one of the most incredible hill stations of Gujarat for trekking or visiting beautiful places is located in the Dang district. You will have a great time over there if you are exploring this place solo or with family or friends just like I had. So if you are planning to visit saputara peep into this blog to explore this charming city.

Places for trekking near and in Saputara

1)Gira waterfall - a scenic view

Gira waterfall, located near waghai on waghai-saputara highway, is a stunning place. This waterfall is very pleasing for the eyes to watch. It's a perfect spot for photography and for relaxing. You can reach there by 1 km of trekking from the parking place. This place is also known as the picturesque of Gujarat. Also at the start of the trek, there is the amazing stall of chai and snacks where you will enjoy your food with a beautiful view. So visit this place first when you reach saputara

Entry fee - 10rs/- per person

Timing - 8 AM - 5 PM

2) Governor's hill - Hotspot of Gujarat

If you are an adventure lover, Just like us, you can't miss this place. Governor hill is also known as table point because of its flat table-like surface on top of the hill is a perfect place for trekking. The highest peak of the Saputara is famous for its panoramic view of saputara from the top. In between trekking you can engage yourself in activities like camel or horse riding, and some activities for children.

Also, tea and refreshment stalls are located in between. Reaching the peak point, you will surely get mesmerized seeing the beauty over there.

Timing - no specific timing given but advise to go in the daytime.

3) Sunrise point - The Vantage point of Saputara

To start your day, the sunrise point is the most peaceful and serene place you can go Start your day. This place gives a breathtaking view of sunrise. You can reach this place by trekking around 1.5 -2 km from the bottom point. Also, there is an echo point above the sunrise point, which is also a famous place. This place makes your soul happy, we enjoyed this point so much. I would suggest you to visit this place in saputara

Timing -6 Am onwards

4) Sunset point - Gandhi Shikhar of saputara

At the distance of 10 minutes from governer hill, sunset point is located. One can reach sunset point through governer hill in ropeway. Once you reach at sunset point through ropeway , it takes approx 200 m to reach the exact location or you can go by trekking just like we did. Over here you can click some amazing photographs and get a perfect view to see the sunset.

Timing - I suggest to go after 5 PM

Places to visit in saputara

1) Rose garden - Blooming Nature of city

Rose garden is a very beautiful place to see the different species of roses. Over there you will have a splendid view of different types of flowers and bridge setup. You can reach over there through any local transport. This place is well maintained . You can also click on some beautiful photos or sit and enjoy the view. If you want to take some photos and relax for some time, this is the perfect place to visit

Timing - 9 AM - 6 PM

2) Saputara museum and aquarium - glimpses of saputara

walking distance from the rose garden, this museum gives an introduction of heritage and lifestyle of locals and culture, art, paintings of saputara and dangs and day to day things of natives. Also, a small aquarium is located exact beside the museum . You can also enjoy seeing the aquarium . And on the same lane you can enjoy the street market over there.

Entry fee of museum and aquarium - 5rs/- and 10rs/- respectively

Timing of museum and aquarium - 10 AM to 5 PM And 8 AM to 9 Pm

3) Saputara lake- Centre of city

Saputara lake, a beautiful place which is situated at a distance of 5 min from the rose garden. This place has lots of activities and food stalls around there. You can also enjoy boating over there especially during sunset time. Apparently, we could not experience boating due to time issues. But I will suggest you to visit this lake once. This lake is surrounded by hills and you will have an amazing time over there.

Fees of boating - Pedal boat- INR 35 per seat for 30 minutes.

For 4 seater boat - INR 140.

For 5 seater boat – INR 175.

For 6 seater boat - INR 210.

Timing - 10 AM to 6 PM

There are many other places to visit like Jain temples, step garden, artistic village, honey bee center, etc. If you have more time remaining You can visit these places through local transport.

The best time to visit saputara is October to February and it would be easy if you are from Gujarat or Maharastra to reach there by road, railway, or airway.

through the railway, the closest railway station is the bilmora railway station which is 50 km from saputara.

Through airway nearest airport is surat 160 km from saputara or Nasik which is 80km from saputara.

For stay, there are many hotels in saputara or you are a trekking lover or don't want to go on your own you can go from an INVINCIBLE NGO just like we did. This NGO plans some charming events on per regular basis and at a reasonable range. This NGO gives us a real experience of trekking and they have fun activities like making our own tent, doing some amazing activities, etc.

They have an amazing internity plan and we also had a real trek adventure over there and made some new friends! Thank you invincible for an unforgettable experience. We really enjoy it!
