Day 1
I have been to Goa innumerable times and explored some wonderful beaches of south Goa which are very less commercialised unlike the stretch of the Baga and Calangute in north Goa. Apart from the wonderful beaches and temples there are historical places like the Fort Aguada and Cabo De Rama.
Fort Aguada is often visited by tourists and is well known. But there is one small fort called Reis Magos that is just a few kilometres away from Aguada.
Of late I explored this old fort that is restored and extremely well maintained and doesn't see a lot of crowd.
It is situated in Verem. It can be approached via the road that passes under the Mandovi bridge in Panjim.
The entry fee is nominal and a separate fee for the camera is charged which is worth paying, considering the lovely view that you will see from the fort. The fort is open for visitors from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
The fort also has a lot of funny and cool painting from the very famous cartoonist Mario De Miranda.
Surrounded by sturdy laterite walls, this fort is a must visit for those who love scenic views and want to enjoy the silence and peaceful environment that it offers.
