Day 1

Rajgundha trek: A 2 day trek from Bir Billing or Barot
This village is lying between the dhauladhar ranges. Rajgundha Valley is not connected by any roads, this is why it is quite popular among the locals. also it is not that much explored place by any tourist outside Himachal we went Rajgundha via Barot which is in Mandi district. From Barot we went to Badagran in taxi. from badagaran there is no route for two wheelers or four wheelers so we trekked for about five kilometres for 2 hours. the view was worth. we had to cross two mountains and a river with heavy flow water and the water was chilled. there we stayed for one night. in the night we danced, enjoyed and had bonfire. We visited rajgundha in June but the temperature dropped to 5 to 10 degrees celsius. you can see Thamsar valley from the homestay. there are no shops or ATMs available but the total experience was very good.

Day 2

So the day has come when we had to go back to our own places but we thought to explore the Bir Billing Trek which is the another way to reach rajgundha. it was a very sunny day. then at 11 o'clock we started going back to our cars (badagaran) but in the middle of the trek we experienced heavy rainfall which was not expected, even the Google weather showed sunny day. we also lost our umbrellas. the fascinating experience turned into a bad dream. the trek was like - one side its ditch and on the other side the mountain started landsliding, also we were not able to get any help as our cars were still 2-3 km far but somehow few people help us and we reached badagaran.
But in the middle of the trek we plucked few local vegetables as I am a localite from Himachal, I know what to eat and what not , so the total - the overall experience of rajgundha was good. I'll give it 8 out of 10 stars
also people if you are planning to go to rajgundha please carry your sweatshirts
extra pair of shoes and your trouser and t-shirt
please carry waterproof bags
please carry umbrella
some money as there is no ATM available something to eat
water bottle for sure and the shoes you are comfortable and you can track easily because there is a lot of up and down. All the best.
