Safari – Pench Wildlife Sanctuary, Madhya Pradesh

Safari is journey where any adventurer who likes to explore the unexplored trails and unspoilt natural of forests gets mesmerized. Moreover it's an awesome way to explore the forests via a jeep.

Exploring the national park and staying near the jungle is the best way you can enjoy your holiday. It's all about hanging out there, relaxing and doing nothing but enjoying the nature.

So here is my modest description of my safari trip to Pench. It is modest because however good I describe it, it will always be less.

I started my journey from Pune toward Nagpur,which is almost 13 hrs travel-bus, and near about mid day we reached Pench jungle camp resort.

The resort was really good and we booked a tent there.The resort had all adventure activities and we had a really good time there. We booked our jungle safari for morning visit for 4000 INR per jeep....

Next Day at 6 am we started our journey towards the National park. MP tourism, where we booked our jungle safari , had given us one guide. Our jungle safari lasted for 3 hrs. But I kept hoping that it could go on forever.

When we entered the national park, our guide heard "animal call" for tiger and then we immediately moved towards that call.... :)

My buddies & I were really excited to see the tigress. In a few minutes our guide stopped the jeep & we saw the majestic beast roaming in the wild. It was a breath taking moment & we all captured every second of it in our cameras. The tigress had her 3 cubs. But unfortunately I could not capture the cubs as they were so swift.

Then we moved to the breakfast spot where all the tourists had gathered but only after our hearts were absolutely satisfied watching the wild. It was near about 8 AM then.

After the fantastic breakfast , we again went into the jungle which was filled with scenic beauty; dusty roads, swinging leaves, chirping birds.

After we entered there was a lake waiting for us. Suddenly we saw many peafowls, peahens, deers surrounding the lake. The sight was a treat to our eyes as it felt like they were a family spending time under the sun.

We started capturing those beautiful scenes in our cameras. Later on we came upon a Blue Cow & a Fox. We spent time moving around. I could not understand how the 3 hrs went by so soon. I was so mesmerized with the trip that I immediately took a decision to visit the place again in evening so that I could witness the divine beauty of wildlife in dark. And that I did, in the same day :P

We were back to our resort after the trip. We took a small nap;energized ourselves and started our evening trip :)

The word wonderful will not be enough to describe what I experienced at the end of that day. And that feeling lasted with me well beyond that trip.

We started for Pune the next day.

For my next jungle safari I will be going to Gir in Gujurat.

This was my first jungle safari and I was really happy to be one with mother nature!!!!!
