Ooty Diaries

We were group of three girls who planned to travel from New delhi to Ooty in the month of June.

Firstly we took the flight to Coimbatore Airport.

Distance from Coimbatore Airport to Ooty is around 95 kms (Approx. 3 hours to reach the resort.)

We landed Coimbatore around 12 P.M. and took a cab which was easily available at airport (Cost- Rs 2,400 inclusive of all taxes)

We reached our resort i.e Deccan Park Resort. The resort was very beautiful. Rooms were clean and the staff was friendly.

For Food:- We used swiggy and ordered it from Kabab Corner.

Since we reached our resort at 3 p.m. we decided to go to the ooty lake i.e 3 KM away from the resort. (Closing time of Ooty lake was 6 p.m.)

We came back to the resort and enjoyed the scenic view of our resort.

On 2nd day we booked the taxi from hotel which includes the package of Coonoor & nearby places of Ooty for Rs. 2,200/-

Since ooty is famous for its Tea Plantation, our 1st spot for the day was Tea Garden and the valley view. You can also buy some packed tea and homemade chocolates from there.

Next location- Dodabetta peak which is the highest peak in Ooty. You have to trek a bit in order to reach at the top of the peak.

Our next destination was Botanical Garden. Its one of the most famous flower gardens in India. This is the best place to visit for those who are fond of colorful different type of flowers.

Firstly we went to Pyakara lake where one must do the speed boating (instead of Motor boating).

It will cost you Rs. 785 for 2 seater. It was a thrilling experience.

Then we moved on to our next spot i.e Pykara falls. There you will have to walk a lot to reach towards the fall. Its better to go there after the monsoons as the flow of water will be more.
