Bangalore city gives a lot of opportunities for one day trips. Nature lovers have multiple options to visit nearby hilly areas. Sadly, many of them have become extremely crowded. Also, many of these hills are present between towns and villages. That restricts the pleasure of experiencing nature.
Savanadurga Hill is a granite dome present nearly at 60 kms from Bangalore. The hill is a paradise for geography lovers and nature enthusiasts. It is unique in every way possible. The hill is part of the peninsula, one of the oldest regions in the world. Surrounded by forest and lake, the view is completely out of the world from the hilltop.
We left Bangalore around 5:45 in the morning. We reached the place within 1 hour and 15 minutes. Shoes are mandatory to climb the hill. All you have to do is follow the marked signs. Any other way to climb the hill can be dangerous due to steep slope. So, unless you are a rock climber you should stick to the marked path.
We enjoyed the view of Manchanabale dam from the top, cooked Maggi and had the best experience.
It took us around 3 hours to come back. Plenty parking space is avaliable nearby. We returned to bangalore by 11 in the morning. Such a short trip that can guarantee so much happiness should not be missed!
