Day 4
Last Night After Disappointment we went to our Guest House and Started to think about continuing the Tour Till Manali but didn't get permission from parents so our driver said that we might find Snow in Narkanda which is about 105km from SOLAN and 60 Km from Shimla so we thought it's better to go there than to go home.
So we Continued our Next morning at 8 Am. I would recommend to start earlier. Had our breakfast in between the travel. We reached Narkanda around 1 pm due to not so good roads and no fencing on roads and constant climbing.
HATU PEAK is the main attraction in Narkanda. You will have to take a road which is very narrow from The main road . HATU PEAK is about 6km from Narkanda and at an altitude of 3400M. In Winters Cars can go up to 3km when there is less snow but in snowfall time you have to hike all 6 kms. Luckily Snowfall was less and car climbed till 3km then after that we found snow all over that place.
Nice view of Mountains can be seen. Next we had to start our climbing of next 3kms. Next 3kms was like 30km due to steep climb to reach 3400m and oxygen was becoming less and lesser. The Road was fully snow covered I recommend to wear shoes which have a good grip ad snow is very slipper in some parts. You can find many shortcuts also so take them if you can.
After reaching Hatu peak you can find a panaromic View of Snow Capped Mountains all around and a Hatu Temple. Wind was blowing very fast and the temp was 0 degree 3 in afternoon our ears froze and we were not able to feel then also so after taking good pictures we started climbing down. Take a note that Climbing is much easier than Coming down due to slippery snow you can fall very badly.
We came down by 6 pm and it was already night. We had dinner at Narkanda Hotel which was over crowded due to New Year. And reached guest house by 2 pm.
Next day will be our exciting return journey without tickets in train.
