How often do we find ourselves struggling to find good and budget properties around some off-beat places. A place which we don't have to share with anyone and isn't very costly too. This property tucked away among the woods will tick all the checkboxes and filters.
This place with not so tempting name is one of the oldest yet coolest places to stay in Jibhi. You might not be able to spot it easily, hence it's better to call the host after reaching Jibhi. As the name implies, Narayan is the person who takes care of the cottages. A very culturally rich Himachal person who is a very generous host and a wondrous human. The property is managed by Simone on Airbnb, who also stays there most of the time. Another very sweet person on the premises.
To Reach
Once you reach Jibhi (how to reach Jibhi), just give your host a call and he will happily guide you to the property. Once you reach the place, it's a 150m steep walk/trek down to the cottage. It could be challenging for some people but it's very safe and one can get used to the path within a couple of back and forths.
The Property
As soon as you will start to think how long am I gonna walk, you will see the cottages. It's a 150 m walk from the road to the property. You will be welcomed by the sounds of the flowing river and the white silence that will soothe your ears and make you feel connected with nature.

Every cottage is equipped with the basic amenities including kitchen, room tandoor (Indian version of a fireplace), extra mattresses (up to 3, excluding double bed) and an attached washroom.
Interiors
The room has adorable and charming interiors which adds cherry to the cake of this place. The cottage is big enough to accommodate 5 people comfortably. It's divided into 2 parts, with the top one having the double bed and the attic.
As we were staying in extreme winters with temperature dipping as below as -10°C, the fireplace became our best friend. The premises also had a hammock and a common area to relax and socialise.
A wholesome experience
Mornings were the best with bright sunshine at freezing temperatures, and the nights had their charm about showing off the milky way with a million stars on a clear sky. One can stay at the property for a straight week and not get bored, you can hear the birds chirping in the morning and silence of flowing river throughout. The slow life among the woods made me one with nature.
If you're someone who loves to enjoy the Himalayan solitary, clear night sky with million stars and a cottage tucked away among the mountain woods - this could be the end of your Tripoto/Google search.
